2002

BECOME A BALLERINA (TRUE STORY)

Age 16 I left the bright lights of Ayrshire, Scotland, for London to become a ballerina. I lived in a YMCA and had the time of my life training, learning, growing up. As it turns out, ballet is a very serious business and hurts a lot, so then….

2023

THIS IS WHERE I AM

Now I take pictures of people for a living and I couldn’t imagine a better job. I read once that, when looking for a career, “Ideally, you want to be of service to others in a way that feeds your spirit.” and that’s what photography does for me. Creating images for people that capture priceless memories, promote their bad ass selves, or even simply make them feel good – that’s what makes me tick.

My photography training over the years includes a lot of trial an error in the past, some awe inspiring workshops and mentoring experiences, working alongside some other very inspirational photographers in the industry and googling something if I don’t know how to do it.

2006

CRUISE SHIP LIFE CAME CALLING

Life on the high seas dancing and singing was the most fun. Cue 5 years travelling the world, living out my showgirl dreams on some of the world’s most beautiful cruise ships. I discovered a love of people and their stories, travelling and adventuring.

Eventually it was time to come home, dabble in higher education and the corporate world, before starting my photography business while on maternity leave.
