Why Brig o’Doon works so well for photography
Everything you need is right at your fingertips from getting ready through to dancing the night away. The riverside setting, gardens and historic bridge provide plenty of variety for photographs without needing to leave your guests for long periods of time.
The venue has space for guests to relax indoors or outside, plenty of natural light and a seamless flow between each part of your celebration. It means we can create photos that feel natural and unhurried while you stay present with the people you’ve gathered to share the day with you.
Photography that feels like your wedding.
Many couples tell me they love photography but worry about feeling awkward in front of a camera.
The good news is that you don’t need to perform for photographs.
My role is to guide when needed, particularly during portraits, but never at the expense of the atmosphere you’ve worked so hard to create. The result still feels joyful, but it’s subtly choreographed to be fun for you and photograph beautifully, without feeling over-managed.
The majority of the day is spent observing rather than directing, allowing your wedding to feel like a wedding first and a photoshoot second.
I’m based in Ayrshire and photograph weddings throughout Scotland in a considered documentary style, with a focus on natural moments, beautiful light and thoughtful storytelling.
