A couple’s shoot in Ayr

I was delighted when Aimee and Colin decided they would like to have their couple’s shoot at Belleisle park in Ayr. I grew up visiting Belleisle as a child and remember thinking the walled garden was so magical.

Unfortunately a few years ago the grounds and the amazing glass conservatory had fallen into disrepair. But a great fundraising effort over the last few years has seen it lovingly restored and it’s once again full of beautiful plants maintained by volunteers.

A snapshot of time

We decided to start the shoot at Aimee and Colin’s house. I love to create a story when I’m shooting a couple, and they both agreed it would be fun to look back on images of them in their first home as part of this story.

We then jumped in the car and headed to the park, which was lovely and quiet. We wandered and chatted, and I even convinced them to climb on some large logs. It was a really fun evening and I hope that shows through these images.
